Jan

• Learnt Python along with contributing to SymPy project. SymPy is a Python library for symbolic mathematics. It aims to become a full-featured computer algebra system (CAS) while keeping the code as simple as possible in order to be comprehensible and easily extensible.

March - Oct

• Accepted as Studentt Developer under SymPy for Google Summer of Code 2016.
• Shekhar's project archive in GSoC 2016 site.
• Work done before, after and during the GSoC Codiing period is written in detail in my blog post.
• Since my blog post is build using Jekyll framework, which is written in Ruby, so during this I learnt Ruby as well, which was base of GSoC 2017 :)

Jan

• Contributed Ruby Organization project, mostly bundler.

Feb - March

• Started contributing to Ruby Science Foundation (SciRuby).
• Most of the commits, I did was in SciRuby/daru repository, which is a library for storage, analysis, manipulation and visualization of data in Ruby.

April - Oct

• Started working as Google Summer of Code 2017 Student Developer under SciRuby.
• Shekhar's project archive in GSoC 2017 site.
• daru-view , ruby gem is created from scratch. daru-view is for easy and interactive plotting in web application & IRuby notebook. It can work in frameworks like Rails, Sinatra, Nanoc and hopefully in others too.
• Awesome 12 week journey is written in my blog post, where new contributor can read about the Ruby library design, why and how features are implemented in daru-view gem.
• Certificate of Completion GSoC project under SciRuby.

• Started discussion about the future of daru-view gem and planned for the next version of daru-view plotting gem.
• "Advance features in daru-view" got accepted in the project idea list of SciRuby. Also got few contributors for it.
• Selected as Mentor for Google Summer of Code 2018 SciRuby project. daru-view version 0.2.4 is released with major enhancements through GSoC 2018 work product.
• Along with SciRuby, I involved in Python-Hydrus GSoC 2018 projects and mentorship.
• Certificate of Appreciation for GSoC 2018.
• After this I became addicted to commit in Github and explored more organization who are doing tremendous work and have impactful projects. I involved in mlpack , NumFocus and following many other GSoC organizations .

• Ruby Science Foundation, selected me to work as GSoC 2019 Admin. Thanks to SciRuby!
• New impressive ideas added in SciRuby GSoC 2019 Idea list by me and other active contributors.
• Along with SciRuby, also mentoring SymPy and SymEngine projects in GSoC 2019 .
